It is the policy of Buddy Werner Tahoe that:
(1) Any Buddy Werner skier who is suspected of sustaining a concussion shall be immediately removed from our skiing activity for the remainder of the day and shall not be permitted to return until the skier is evaluated by a licensed health care provider and cleared, in writing, by the licensed health care provider, to ski. If the licensed health care provider determines that the skier sustained a concussion, the skier shall complete a graduated return-to-play protocol of no less than seven days under the supervision of the licensed health care provider.
(2) If one of our Buddy Werner skiers has been removed from a Buddy Werner skiing activity due to a suspected concussion, we shall notify the skier's parent or guardian of the time and date of the suspected injury, the symptoms observed, and any treatment provided to the skier for the suspected injury.
(3) The parents and guardians of our skiers shall annually be provided with our concussion and head injury information sheet, which can be found here:
